Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will conduct the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2026 for admission to its undergraduate engineering programmes offered across VIT group of institutions. The examination will be held at the designated test centres in India and abroad, tentatively from April 28 to May 3, 2026. The deadline for submitting the application form is March 31. The number of test days may vary depending on the test city. A statement released on Thursday said VITEEE 2026 would be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The candidates are permitted to appear for it only once. Any violation of this rule will result in cancellation of the application and admission. The question paper will consist entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be available only in English. A total of 125 questions will be given in the Question paper. Each correct answer will carry four marks, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and no marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered or marked-for-review questions. Selection of candidates will be based solely on the rank secured in VITEEE 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in online counselling, during which they may choose their preferred campus, programme, and fee category. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s rank and availability of options at the time of counselling. For further updates and detailed information, candidates are advised to visit the official VIT website https://viteee.vit.ac.in/.
