On Wednesday night, the residents of Thatichetlapalem panicked following a suspected bomb threat. At around 11 p.m., a few locals noticed a blinking red light inside a dustbin and suspected it to be an explosive device. They immediately dialled the the emergency helpline 112. The IV Town police reached the spot, and cordoned off the area. Later, the bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a thorough inspection. After careful examination, officials confirmed that the object was a light used by dancers and was kept inside a bag, and not a bomb or explosive device allegedly thrown by unidentified persons. sons.
