Three persons lost their lives in separate incidents reported on the night of January 4, 2026, within the jurisdiction of the Secunderabad Government Railway Police Station, railway police officials said.

In the first incident, a 39-year-old labourer was killed in an accident at Charlapalli Railway Station. The deceased was identified as Ajit Rai, who was travelling from Vikarabad to Charlapalli on the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus train. Police said that while unloading his luggage after the train had halted at the station, it received a signal and began moving slowly. As he attempted to get off the train, he slipped and was crushed between the train and the platform, leading to his death on the spot.

In another case, an unidentified man died after accidentally falling from a moving train between Charlapalli and Ghatkesar railway stations. The deceased, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years of age, had a tattoo with the name ‘Mukesh’ on his left hand. His identity is yet to be ascertained.

In the third case, a man collapsed and died at Secunderabad Railway Station allegedly due to health-related reasons. The deceased was identified as Mudraboyina Subbarao, 46, a resident of Machavaram village in Ponnoor mandal of Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh. According to the railway police, he had arrived at the station to board the Simhapuri Express and was walking from platforms 4 and 5 towards platform number 10 via the foot overbridge (FoB) leading towards Kazipet when he suddenly collapsed. He was declared dead at the spot, with police suspecting that he may have suffered a medical emergency.

The Secunderabad Government Railway Police have registered separate cases in all three incidents and have taken up investigations. They have appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the unidentified deceased and requested anyone with information to contact the Secunderabad Railway Police Inspector at 8712658581.
