A two-day 11th Women Ayurveda Parishad Conference (WAPCON) will be held at the AU Convention Centre on February 6-7, the organisers said on Wednesday.

The Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad (VAP), in collaboration with Dr. Durgabhai Deshmukh Centre for Women’s Studies (DDCWS) of Andhra University, will organise the event. On Wednesday, AU Vice-Chancellor Prof. G.P. Rajasekhar released a poster of the event. The 2026 theme is “Swastha Nari – Sashakta Bharat” (Healthy Woman – Strong India), focusing on how traditional Ayurvedic medicine can support women’s health and empowerment. The event will feature a series of expert talks and presentations on subjects such as Modern Health Issues, Ayurveda & Technology, AI in health practice, business & growth, start-up opportunities (Ayurpreneurship) for women, and cosmetology.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of academic-industry partnerships and the university’s role in supporting professional development programs that bring national experts to the city.
