C.J. Roy, founder and chairman of Confident Group, died of a bullet wound to the left side of his chest, said Aravind M.N., medical superintendent of Bowring Hospital. He added that a single 6.35 mm bullet pierced Mr. Roy’s heart and passed through his lungs up to the back. “It was almost a through-and-through injury, except that there was no exit wound. In our opinion, he may have collapsed instantaneously and died,” Mr. Aravind said. According to him, a CT scan was conducted as part of a routine procedure. The bullet was retrieved and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The post-mortem was conducted on Saturday, following which the body was handed over to the family.
