SCR GM inspects inspects railway stations in Vijayawada division

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Saturday (January 31, 2026) inspected Narsapur, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, and Machilipatnam railway stations and reviewed the passenger amenities in Vijayawada division.

Mr. Srivastava, along with Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya, reviewed the safety aspects of tracks and the level crossing gates, and received representations from the public representatives on rail development works and projects.

The GM reviewed the passenger amenities, circulating area, coach depot and the yard, and reviewed the progress of redevelopment works undertaken at Narsapur station as part of Amrit Stations Scheme.

He inspected the track maintenance and safety at Bhimavaram yard, and reviewed the passenger amenities at the Town station. Later, he visited the Upputeru bridge in the section and inspected the toilets and waiting hall in Gudivada railway station.

The General Manager also inspected the Station Master’s office and the circulating area in Machilipatnam railway station and took stock of the Machilipatnam Amrit Station works on the occasion.

Station Masters, engineers and senior officers of various departments accompanied Mr. Srivastava.
