The Budget Session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly will commence on February 11. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has summoned the fifth session of the sixteenth Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, which will begin at 10 a.m.

The session will open with the Governor’s address to a joint sitting of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council at 10 a.m. on February 11. On February 12, members will move a motion of thanks to the Governor’s address. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will reply to the motion on February 13, outlining the government’s priorities and roadmap.

The Budget for the financial year 2026–27 will be presented in the Assembly on February 14 by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav. This will be followed by the presentation of the Agriculture Budget by Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu. Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu is also expected to present the budget for his department.

According to an official notification issued under Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, the Governor exercised his constitutional authority to convene the session. The order was issued through G.O.Ms.No.3 by the Legislature Legn. Secretariat and will be published in Part II of an extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated January 30, 2026. The session is expected to take up key legislative business and other important matters concerning the State.
