HYDERABAD The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has reacted strongly to the notices issued by the special investigation team (SIT) in the phone-tapping case to former Chief Minister and founder president of the party K. Chandrashekhar Rao and termed it height of vengeful politics and arrogance of the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Reacting to the notice served on KCR, senior leader of the party and former MP B. Vinod Kumar said on Thursday that it was nothing but an act of political revenge by the Chief Minister. He stated that SIT notice to KCR was undesirable as it was under his leadership statehood to Telangana was realised. Party leader T. Harish Rao said serving notice on KCR was nothing but hurting the self-esteem of Telangana as it was under the KCR’s leadership the decades-long dream of statehood was realised. He alleged that Mr. Revanth Reddy had got the notice served to divert people’s attention from the failures of his government on delivering the pre-poll promises and from the Singareni overburden tenders scam. Working president of the party K.T. Rama Rao said the notice was political vengeance and not an attempt to seek justice. He stated that the history of Telangana would be written with people’s verdict and not with politically-motivated investigations and inquiries. Former ministers Koppula Eshwar, S. Niranjan Reddy, V. Prashanth Reddy, T. Srinivas Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, MP V. Ravichandra and several others faulted the SIT notice to KCR in the phone-tapping case.
