Addressing the gathering, the Collector said the main aim of the event was to foster interest in science among school and college students. He said the event will act as a platform for the students to showcase their talent. Students in Tamil Nadu were excelling in Science. At the same time the students should also give importance to their mother tongue Tamil, he said. Over 1 lakh people, including school and college students, and the general public, are expected to visit the science fest, he said.
