Minister for Public Works and Tourism P.A. Mohamed Riyas will unfurl the national flag at the Republic Day event to be held at Captain Vikram Maidan in Kozhikode city on Monday (January 26, 2026) morning. A release said on Sunday (January 25, 2026) that the Minister will deliver an address after receiving the guard of honours. Personnel from the police, Armed Reserved Police, Excise, Departments of Forests and Fire and Rescue Services, and members of the National Cadets Corps, Student Police Cadet, and Junior Red Cross would attend the parade. It would be followed by the cultural programmes presented by students.
