The police have arrested a former HR manager of a hospital, who allegedly sought sexual favours from a nun at Changanassery. The arrested was identified as Babu Thomas (45), a native of Ponkunnam. According to police, the accused was working as the HR manager at a church-run hospital in Changanassery and the nun was his colleague. He allegedly sent vulgar videos and messages to the nun on her phone and misbehaved with her, seeking sexual favours. The nun initially complained to the hospital authorities, following which the accused was terminated from service. Subsequently, a police complaint was filed and Thomas was taken into custody on Saturday. It is alleged that he continued to threaten the complainant even after being terminated from his workplace. After recording his arrest, police produced him before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody. Police officials said they have information that the accused had misbehaved with other women staff at the hospital as well. Statements of other women staff will be recorded as part of the investigation.
