Backward Classes Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Wednesday said that the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes is expected to submit the Social and Educational Survey report before February 10. Speaking here at the Ambigara Chowdaiah Jayanti, organised by the Kannada and Culture Department, the Minister said that the data compilation process is under way, and that the report would be given shortly. He said: “Though people in some communities are claiming a certain number for their community, the report will provide the actual numbers.” He claimed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had responded to the needs of the communities, and has released ₹1,600 crore to all development corporations coming under the department.
