A 10-member delegation led by the Director General of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Surendranath Tripathi, visited the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) office on Wednesday. VMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner N. Tej Bharat explained the activities and development aspects undertaken by the Authority across the three districts through a presentation to the team. Mr. Bharat shared VMRDA’s master plan formulation, projects, park development, constructions, Visakhapatnam Economic Region preparedness and development of 15 major roads identified. Joint Commissioner Ramesh informed the team about key development works undertaken by the organisation and the progress of tourism-related projects. Later, Director General Surendranath Tripathi praised the beautification of VMRDA parks and tourist areas in the metropolitan city, and said that they add a special attraction to the city’s beauty. The team then visited the museums and parks managed by VMRDA, including Kailasagiri.
