Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on January 23, will be accorded a grand welcome, including a roadshow, by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, S. Suresh, State general secretary of the BJP, said around 25,000 workers would gather at Putharikandam Maidanam at 11 a.m. to welcome the Prime Minister. Mr. Modi will hand over a blueprint prepared for the development of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation to the Mayor at the function. The Prime Minister will also flag-off four new trains allocated to Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram prior to the party function.
