A man was seriously injured following an explosion in his house in Perumal Kovilpatti in Dindigul district on Tuesday. The police said explosives were being illegally manufactured in the house belonging to Ganesan. The explosives were used to hunt wild animals. Ganesan was seriously injured and his fingers were severed. The house was damaged in the explosion. Ganesan was rushed to the Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital for treatment. The Police, the Bomb Disposal Squad and the Forensic Experts conducted a search. Chinnallapatti police have registered a case and are investigating. Materials used to make the explosives were seized from the house.
