Chandrababu Naidu has proposed that out of the 50 lakh youth targeted for AI, Quantum, and Cybersecurity training nationwide, 10 lakh should be from Andhra Pradesh, during his second day at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Chief Minister held meetings with global technology leaders and discussed strengthening of skill development, innovation, and startup ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Naidu, accompanied by IT Minister Nara Lokesh, met IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna and discussed training programmes and the establishment of a Quantum Innovation Centre in Amaravati in partnership with company. The IBM assured that it would review the State’s proposals. IBM has already planned to train 50 lakh youth across India, and Mr. Naidu proposed that 10 lakh of them should be from Andhra Pradesh. IBM’s CEO responded positively, saying these proposals would be considered for future implementation, according to a release issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations. Mr. Naidu also met Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and discussed the development of the Google AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam. He urged the Google to ensure the swift completion of the project. The Chief Minister met WIPO Director General Daren Tang and Director Anil Moorthy to promote innovation, intellectual property protection, and startup ecosystem development. Emphasising innovation as key to economic growth, he outlined his vision of Andhra Pradesh as a knowledge economy and innovation-driven State, while urging WIPO’s support for startups. Through these initiatives, the State government aims to provide its youth with advanced skills, foster research-driven development, and position A.P. as a hub for emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.
