Speaking to the media on the eve of the third ODI, all-rounder Glenn Phillips highlighted the team’s prospect of achieving an unprecedented result on Indian soil. “India is an incredibly tough place to play, and they’re a world-class side. We know we’ll have to be at our absolute best to beat them on any given day,” Phillips said. “The inspiration comes from knowing that things that haven’t been done before are possible. We had a very enjoyable Test series here, but a white-ball series is completely different, and very few teams have managed to achieve success here. If we can pull it off, it would be fantastic and a huge moment for us,” he added. Phillips, however, stressed the importance of staying focused on the process. “Making history is a pretty cool thing, but focusing on that doesn’t really help your cricket. As professionals, we try to treat every moment like any other day. That helps you stay in the zone, make good decisions, and play freely. When results come, you enjoy them for what they are, but it’s the background work and process that allows those moments to happen.” Published – January 17, 2026 11:32 pm IST Share this: Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Click to print (Opens in new window) Print Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window) Pocket Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon Click to share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Like this:Like Loading...
