Rama Rao accused the Revanth Reddy government of conspiring to deny the fruits of decentralised administration and development in the name of reorganisation of districts again and cancelling some new districts created during the BRS rule. In a meeting with party leaders of combined Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts ahead of the forthcoming elections to urban local bodies here on Saturday, he asked the party ranks to take up an action plan to oppose the government plans to cancel some districts. He also asked them to explain to people the delay being caused by the Congress government in completing the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and denying Krishna waters to the basin areas. On the ULB elections, he suggested the party leaders have a specific strategy and action plan for every ULB based on the local conditions with focus on Mahabubnagar Municipal Corporation. On Nalgonda ULBs he said the BRS government in the past had developed the district like never before. He said the combined district has two Ministers now, but they were doing nothing for development. Senior leader of the party T. Harish Rao also made several suggestions to the leaders of the two combined districts. Earlier, he criticised the government for arresting party leaders for planning a peace rally with a demand to keep the identity of Secunderabad intact. Former Minister T. Srinivas Yadav said the police had given permission to the peace rally first, but messaged Lashkar Sadhana Samithi on Friday night to inform cancellation of the permission given. They would move the court to get the permission for the peace rally since it was a fight for keeping the identity of Secunderabad intact.
