Stressing that education is the only sustainable solution to social and economic challenges, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government had accorded top priority to the education sector.

“Education alone creates opportunities and determines the future. That is why we are bringing all major educational institutions to Mahabubnagar district,” he said.

Earlier, he arrived at Chittaboinapalli village in Jadcherla mandal, accompanied by Ministers Damodar Raja Narasimha and Jupally Krishna Rao, to lay the foundation stone for the proposed Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by MLAs of the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, senior officials, and Congress leaders.

Addressing the gathering after performing the bhumi puja, he said integrated schools were being constructed at a cost of ₹200 crore each and financial assistance was being provided to aspirants appearing for Civil Services examinations. He also assured that the IIIT building would be completed within a year.

The Chief Minister said that Mahabubnagar district had got the opportunity to have a Chief Minister after a gap of 75 years since Burgula Ramakrishna Rao. He said the government is determined to make the best use of this opportunity by strengthening the district through education and irrigation projects.

Recalling his own journey, the Chief Minister said he hailed from a remote village in Achampet constituency and rose to the post of Chief Minister within 17 years through hard work and determination. He underlined that education without commitment would be of little value and that education alone brings respect in society.

Earlier, Mr. Reddy and Ministers interacted with the students.
