Dignitaries at the national seminar organised by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in Mysuru on January 17. | Photo Credit: M.A. Sriram The Mysuru chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) held a national seminar on ‘Emerging South; Growth Beyond Metros’ here on January 17. The event was inaugurated by Vinayak Hegde, vice-president and Development Centre Head, Infosys, Mysuru. Several senior office-bearers and members of ICSI, including Ashish Mohan, secretary, Dwarakanath Chennur, Central Council member, Madhusudhan, chairman, Southern India Regional Council, Krishne Gowda Chaluva Gowda, chairman, Mysuru chapter, and others were present. The seminar featured four panel discussions that focused on technology, challenges, and financing issues across sectors such as IT, start-ups, MSMEs, food industry, and textile industry. Each panel included representatives from industry, regulatory bodies, and the professional community, who deliberated on opportunities and challenges in driving growth beyond metropolitan regions, according to the chairman of ICSI’s Mysuru chapter. The organisers said the seminar was organised to provide valuable insights into the evolving industrial landscape of South India and highlight the role of professionals, regulators, and industry leaders in promoting sustainable and inclusive growth.
