Over 150 solutions developed by child innovators under Project LIORA, an initiative of Kudumbashree Mission for members of Balasabha, will be showcased at the International Innovation Conclave for Balasabha children. The two-day event will be held on the Kerala Startup Mission campus starting Saturday (January 17, 2026).

The innovations have been broadly classified into seven – agriculture, environment and livelihood; arts, culture and communication; education and life skills; digital technology; health, hygiene and nutrition; waste management; and social inclusion and gender equality. The summit aims to provide a global platform for child innovators from Kerala to present their ideas, innovations, and socially relevant solutions.

“Children were asked to find innovative solutions to issues affecting their local community and were given support to fine-tune their concepts. While some have developed prototypes, others have produced papers on their concepts. The children themselves will present their ideas at the summit, followed by an interaction with experts,” said B. Sreejith, State Programme Officer, Kudumbashree Mission.

The best presentations from the Community Development Society level were then chosen for the district level, which were further shortlisted for the summit. In addition, 10 innovative ideas from the Attappady Special Project have also been selected.
