The Railway Board has approved the introduction of four new Amrit Bharat Weekly Express trains and two new weekly express trains passing through the South Central Railway (SCR) zone. All six trains will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a remote video link during his visit to Assam and West Bengal on January 18. The new Amrit Bharat Express trains are: Train number 16107/16108 Santragachi – Tambaram – Santragachi Amrit Bharat Express, with SCR halts at Anakapalle, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole and Nellore. Train number 16597/16598 SMVT Bengaluru – Alipur Duar – SMVT Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express, with halts at Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta Junction. Train number 20603/20604 Nagercoil – New Jalpaiguri – Nagercoil Amrit Bharat Express, halting at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada Junction, Ongole, Gudur Junction and Renigunta Junction. Train number 20609/20610 Tiruchchirappalli – New Jalpaiguri – Tiruchchirappalli Amrit Bharat Express, with halts at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada Junction, Ongole and Gudur Junction. The new weekly express trains are: Train number 16223/16224 SMVT Bengaluru – Radhikapur – SMVT Bengaluru Express, with SCR halts at Anakapalli, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, New Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Ongole and Nellore. Train number 16523/16524 SMVT Bengaluru – Balurghat – SMVT Bengaluru Express, halting at Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole and Nellore.
