The Nathavaram police arrested a key accused in a ganja case in New Delhi. The accused, Rohit Kumar (39), a resident of West Delhi, had been absconding for the past four years. He is the prime accused in a case registered in 2022 at Nathavaram Police Station under the NDPS Act. Since the registration of the case, he had been evading arrest, and a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was subsequently issued against him by the court. As per the directions of Anakapalli Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha, Nathavaram PS Sub-Inspector Y. Tarakeswara Rao, along with his staff, maintained a close surveillance. Upon receiving information, the police team rushed to the Capital and apprehended the accused and brought him to Nathavaram Police Station and produced before the court for remand on Thursday (January 15, 2026). Mr. Sinha and other senior officers congratulated the Nathavaram police for their efforts in tracing and arresting the accused. The SP warned that strict action would be taken against ganja traffickers. The police reiterated that accused persons involved in ganja cases cannot escape the law.
