ECoR to run specials between Visakhapatnam and Charlapalli to clear festive rush

The East Coast Railways (ECoR) will run special trains between Visakhapatnam (VSKP) and Charlapalli (CHZ) to clear the extra rush of passengers following the Makar Sankranti and Pongal festivals.

Train no. 08517 Visakhapatnam – Charlapalli Express special will leave Visakhapatnam on January 18, 2026, at 3.50 p.m. and reach Charlapalli on the next day at 7.30 a.m.

In the return direction, 08518 Charlapalli – Visakhapatnam express special will leave Charlapalli on January 19 at 9 a.m. and reach Visakhapatnam past midnight (12.30 a.m.), according to K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division.

Composition: 2nd AC-2, 3rd AC-5, Sleeper-8, General Second Class- 4, and Second Class-cum-luggage/ Divyangjan-2 coaches.
