A 27-year-old man was arrested for the illegal sale of dry ganja at Nanakramguda in Gachibowli during a joint operation by the Gachibowli police and Madhapur Special Operations Team on Friday, January 16, 2026. The officials seized 1.6 kilograms of the contraband. The accused was identified as B. Srinath Patnaik, a receptionist by profession and a resident of Nanakramguda. Police said he is a native of Odisha. During the operation, officers also seized a mobile phone used for the illegal trade. Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the accused while he was allegedly engaged in selling ganja in the area. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
