‘Euphoria’ season 3 trailer: Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney return in HBO’s high-voltage drama

The trailer of Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria season 3 was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The new season will take place five years after the events that unfolded last time.

The trailer opens with Rue Bennett (Zendaya), as she becomes an adult but continues to battle her addiction. She appears to be more involved in the world of drugs. “A few years after high school, I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished,” she says at one point. Her past comes back to haunt her as the dreaded drug dealer from season 2, Laurie (Martha Kelly), tracks her down and demands money.

Cassie (Syndey) meanwhile has become an adult video creator, something that irks her partner, Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi). The new season brings newer troubles for all the characters, as Rue is captured and forced to become part of a deadly deal involving the mysterious character played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Rue is also seen to dabble with religion as her sponsor, Ali (Coleman Domingo) pushes her to move towards faith.

Created by Sam Levinson, the show also stars Alexa Demie, Chloe Cherry, Maude Apatow, Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler and Marshawn Lynch in pivotal roles. The new season will see Hans Zimmer join as the music composer.

Euphoria season 3 will be released on HBO and HBO Max on April 12 this year.

The first season of the show aired in 2019 followed by the second season in 2022.
