Rangasamy at the Legislative Assembly in Puducherry. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Businessman and leader of Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi (LJK) Jose Charles Martin on Wednesday called on Chief Minister and AINRC founder N. Rangasamy at the Legislative Assembly. Mr. Martin exchanged pleasantries with Chief Minister and sought his permission to organise an event to celebrate Pongal in Puducherry. The LJK, which was formed recently by the businessman, was planning to organise a major event at Uppalam as part of Pongal celebrations during this weekend. Later in the day, when reporters asked BJP president V. P. Ramalingam, whether Mr. Martin’s party would be inducted into the National Democratic Alliance for the Assembly polls in the Union Territory, he said such decisions were taken by the BJP’s high command. “We will abide by the decision of the party high command,” he said.
