Photo credit: @indiannavy/X The Army on Tuesday (January 13, 2026) activated counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or drones along the Line of Control (LoC) following multiple drone sightings in the Pir Panjal Valley’s Rajouri district. Drones were sighted along the LoC, and the Indian Army activated counter-drone measures, official sources said. Drone sightings were reported in Rajouri’s Chingus and Manjakote between 7 p.m. and 7.35 p.m. Security forces opened fire at the drones. “Later, the drones disappeared. The situation is under watch,” officials said. Earlier this week, about five drone sightings were reported in the Jammu division.
