Dr. R. Ramesh from Kerala has assumed office as the new national vice-president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Dr. Ramesh, who was the former Director of Health Services, Kerala, had also formerly served as the president of the Kerala State branch of IMA, and has been an active public health professional all through his career.
