Channabasaveshwara Sansthan Mutt, Hubballi, is organising a seven-day religious convention to mark the installation of the idol of Sri Channabasava and inauguration of Kriya Samadhi Mandir in the mutt. Addressing presspersons in Hubballi on Tuesday, vice-president of the mutt’s trust committee R.V. Patil said that religious processions will be taken out across several villages ahead of the main event and the religious convention will be held daily at 6 p.m. from January 19 to 25. A mass marriage ceremony will be organised on January 22 at 12.30 p.m. And, a free health camp in collaboration with Padmavati Clinic will be conducted on January 18 in Kattur and on January 19, on the mutt located on Giriyala Road in Old Hubballi, he said. Trust secretary Basavaraj Chickmath, Hemareddy, Shivanand Hosur and Nagaraj Badrapur were present.
