The Kudumbashree whose food portfolio includes catering units and canteens under Cafe Kudumbashree, Cafe Kudumbashree Premium, and Janakeeya hotels will launch the takeaway counters under the ‘Meat Point’ brand. Fifty takeaway counters will be started across the State in the first phase. The beneficiaries will be identified by the Kudumbashree district mission from the CDSs. Each unit should have at least two members. Kudumbashree neighbourhood group or auxiliary group members can also be selected as beneficiaries. The counters will be set up in at least 100-150 sq ft in panchayat/municipality/Corporation limits. Work is under way in many districts on setting up the takeaways. These will have a uniform model, be it colour scheme, interiors, furniture or equipment.
