The Delhi police on Thursday apprehended seven persons, including four minors, after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Outer Delhi’s Bawana.

The incident comes amid a spate of violent attacks in the national capital, where at least seven persons, including two minors, have been killed in 10 alleged stabbing incidents in February.

In the latest case, three of those apprehended are adults – Salin, 21, Sahil, 20, and Fahad alias Monu, 18 – all residents of a JJ Colony.

During the investigation, police found that a group of around seven persons intercepted the victim around 8.30 p.m. Officers said the group was allegedly triggered by certain individuals, following which they brutally assaulted the teenager.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s uncle, police said the accused and the deceased knew each other and had a prior enmity. 

A case has been registered under sections related to murder, rioting, rioting while armed with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy and common intention.
