In view of major leakages reported from various locations along the 1500-mm diameter PSC pumping main of Manjeera Phase-2, the drinking water line to Hyderabad, specifically from Patancheru to Hydernagar and from Kalabgoor to Patancheru, there will be a 40-hour disruption in water supply starting 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Maintenance works will be completed by 10 p.m. on Thursday, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board informed. While some parts would experience low-pressure supply, others would face total disruption.

Affected areas include divisions of 17 — RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyothi Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, and Miyapur; 22 — Beeramguda, Ameenpur, and Bhagyanagar Colony; Transmission division 2 — offtake points and bulk connections; 6 — Erragadda, S.R. Nagar, Ameerpet; and 9 — KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar Colony and Pragathi Nagar.
