Of the 62 announcements made by Mayor R. Priya in GCC Budget 2025-26, 28 have been completed, according to its Action Taken Report. Initiatives that were completed include the distribution of laptops to 1,300 teachers at a cost of ₹6.22 crore, installation of sensory gardens in special schools, and development of parks.

Projects under way include the installation of digital display boards at 81 Chennai Schools at ₹1.35 crore; provision of infrastructure for KG classrooms at ₹4.87 crore; foundation work to install 116 generators at burial grounds at ₹6.23 crore; the modernisation of health centres and expansion of dialysis facilities at ₹5.25 crore; construction of a new food court at Indira Nagar at ₹1.5 crore; and beautification of flyovers in Egmore and Nungambakkam at ₹1.01 crore, according to the report.

The beautification of the Peters Road-Conron Smith Road junction flyover has been approved at a cost of ₹2.87 crore, and the Chinna Nolambur bridge for ₹120 crore is at the tendering stage.

The report adds that while 425 road projects in areas such as Tondiarpet and Adyar have been completed, flood-mitigation works, the development of eight waterbodies as sponge parks and the maintenance of existing parks are under way at a cost of ₹10 crore.

Other announcements being implemented include the integration of solid waste management vehicles with the Integrated Command and Control Centre at a cost of ₹3.45 crore, and the removal of legacy waste at the Kodungaiyur and Perungudi dump yards at ₹32.53 crore. However, the procurement of specific machinery for windrow compost plants at ₹2.55 crore is pending administrative sanction.

Guidelines for the Mayor’s Special Development Fund, which was increased from ₹3 crore to ₹4 crore, are currently being framed as the procedural framework is being finalised.
