No casualties or injuries were reported. Fire fighters safely evacuated 23 residents. The incident occurred at Sameena Manzil, located opposite Tin Shed Masjid in Nampally, a building comprising a ground floor, three upper floors and a penthouse. Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire originated in the drawing room of the third floor due to electrical short circuit.
