Twenty-two people were injured during the jallikattu organised at Surakudipatti village near Manikandam in Tiruchi district on Wednesday. As many as 778 bulls were released during the event with the number of participating tamers being 228. Two tamers among the injured were referred to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital and the remaining were treated as out-patients at the venue, said police sources.
