A 19-year-old Intermediate student was killed in a road accident near the Palamakula bridge on National Highway-44 in Shamshabad on Friday, January 9, 2026. The deceased was identified as Agirishetti Saikumar, a resident of Dasarlapally village in Kandukur mandal of Rangareddy district. The accident was reported around 1.45 p.m. when Saikumar had left home on his father’s motorcycle to pick up his sister from a Gurukul hostel in Palamakula, as she had been given Sankranthi holidays. According to the police, the motorcycle went out of control on the Palmakula bridge, causing Saikumar to fall onto the road. He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Following a complaint by the victim’s father, the Shamshabad police booked a case and have launched an investigation into the incident.
