Nineteen students of various colleges across the State embarked on a cycle rally against drugs, ganja and human trafficking, from Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam.

Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ake Ravi Krishna, Collegiate Education Commissioner Narayana Bharat Gupta, EAGLE SP K. Nagesh Kumar and S.R.R and C.V.R. Degree College staff flagged off the rally from the college premises by riding cycles for a small distance, on Monday.

The 600-km rally titled ‘Pedal For Freedom’ is being organised jointly by Commissioner of Collegiate Education and Red Rope NGO. The students will enlighten the public against drugs, ganja and human trafficking by organising flash mobs, awareness programmes and meetings en route the rally, the organisers said.

Mr. Ravi Krishna appreciated the students for deciding to pedal up to Visakhapatnam, to explain the ill-effects of drugs and ganja.

Students from different colleges in Anantapur, Tanuku, Vijayawada and other places will participate in the rally, S.R.R and C.V.R. College officials said.
