JNU students staging a protest in solidarity with the 14 protesters who were arrested and granted bail under ‘strict conditions’ on Friday. | Photo Credit: ANI A day after hundreds of students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) staged a protest against the Vice-Chancellor’s alleged casteist remarks, the Delhi police arrested 14 protesters on Friday morning. The arrested students included JNUSU president Aditi Mishra, vice president Gopika Babu, and joint secretary Danish Ali. They later secured bail on certain conditions, including that they shall be released only after verification of their permanent address. The bail order stated that the students have been “reluctant in disclosing their correct particulars and have not nominated their family members or friends for getting information of their arrest”.
