As many as 130 individuals, including 102 adults and 28 minors, were held by the She Teams of the Malkajgiri police between February 1 and 15 for harassing women and girls in public places and through digital platforms. Police said 148 complaints were received during the period. Of these, 41 related to harassment through phone calls, 33 through social media applications and 74 involved direct or physical harassment. Six criminal cases were registered, 30 petty cases were booked and 99 persons were counselled in the presence of their family members at the CP Camp Office, LB Nagar, with the assistance of professional counsellors.
