The sale of Tirumala Laddu prasadam reached a record high in 2025, registering a 10% increase over the previous year, according to data released by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

While 12.15 crore laddus were sold in 2024, the figure increased to 13.52 crore in 2025, marking an additional sale of 1.37 crore laddus.

A significant milestone was recorded on December 27, 2025, when devotees purchased 5.13 lakh laddus — the highest single-day sale in the past decade. TTD officials noted that this was the largest daily laddu distribution witnessed in the last ten years.

To meet the growing demand, the TTD has increased daily laddu production to 4 lakh. On the peak and auspicious days, the production is scaled up, with a buffer ranging between 8 lakh and 10 lakh laddus kept ready to ensure an uninterrupted supply to devotees.

Around 700 Sri Vaishnava Brahmins work in two shifts in the temple kitchen round the clock. The laddus are prepared in strict adherence to the established ‘dittam’ and religious practices.

Devotees, of late, have expressed satisfaction over the improved and consistent quality of the laddu prasadam, the TTD officials said.
