The seized liquor bottles A total of 127 liquor bottles were seized during vehicle checks near Pahadi Shareef in the vicinity of the airport, with two cases registered in connection with the transport of the consignment. Acting on intelligence that duty-paid liquor was being brought from Goa through flights and moved illegally, a Special Task Force team conducted inspections in the area. During the checks, officials intercepted consignments and confiscated liquor amounting to 111.5 litres. In one case, 32 bottles were seized and the person transporting them, Muniganti Vinod Kumar, was booked. In another case, 95 bottles originating from Delhi and Goa were confiscated. Officials said the seized liquor, along with the accused, was handed over to the excise authorities at Meerpet for further action. The total value of the seized consignment was estimated at ₹2.5 lakh.
