The Union Government has conferred 13 police officers from Tamil Nadu with the Indian Police Service (IPS). In a communication sent to the State Government, the Ministry of Home Affairs said I. Eswaran, S. Aravind, N. Stephen Jesupatham, P. Thangadurai, D. Ashok Kumar, S.S. Maheswaran, V.R. Srinivasan, and K. Prabhakar of the select list 2023; and C. Shyamala Devi, K. Adhiveerapandian, M. Kingshlin, V. Shyamala Devi, and L. Balaji Saravanan of the select list 2024 were conferred with IPS. The police officers are presently serving in the rank of Superintendent of Police in various cities and districts, police sources said.
