11 Central poll observers deployed in Malappuram

As many as 11 election observers appointed by the Central Election Commission have begun their work in the district. Six of them are general observers, four expenditure observers, and one police observer.

The general observers are IAS officers Vishesh Sarangal (Nilambur, Wandoor), M.B. Rajesh Gowda (Manjeri, Perinthalmanna, Mankada, Malappuram), Shakti Singh (Kondotty, Eranad, Vallikkunnu), Ajit Balaso Kumbhar (Vengara, Tirurangadi, Tanur), Tshewang Gyachho Bhutia (Tirur, Kottakkal), and Rajendra Kumar (Thavanur, Ponnani).

Chandragupta, an Indian Police Service officer, is the police observer for the district.

Expenditure observers are Anoop Kumar Verma (Malappuram, Tanur, Tirur, Kottakkal), Mahendra Pratap Singh (Eranad, Nilambur, Wandoor, Manjeri), Anurag Sreevastava (Kondotty, Vengara, Vallikkunnu, Tirurangadi), and Rahut Manish Mahendra (Perinthalmanna, Mankada, Tavanur, Ponnani).

The observers will be staying at Calicut University’s guest house. People can contact them with complaints either directly or by phone.
