Over 100 woman artists will display their works in the State-level painting exhibition “Varna Sambhrama-5” organised by Dr. M.V. Minajagi Kala Mandir Samiti, as part of the International Women’s Day celebration in Hubballi. The exhibition will be held from March 8 to 18. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, the samiti member, Savita Benagi, said woman artists from across Karnataka would participate in the event, during which senior artist Meenakshi Balu Sadalagi from Belagavi would be honoured with the “Sarvavarnatmike” award. Prasad Abbayya, MLA, will inaugurate the event at 11 a.m. at the Hubballi District Magistrate’s Office. Mayor Jyoti Patil, writer Bharati Hiremath, entrepreneur Dhiren Thakkar will be the guests. The exhibition will be held at Minajagi Art Gallery located on the first floor of HDMC Zonal Office (No. 5) in Vidyanagar.
