100% polling awareness events held

A range of competitions for the students were organised at V.O.C. College of Education here on Tuesday to create awareness among the voters for 100% polling.

After the students, all first-time voters, took pledge paiting, essay, rangoil and other competitions were organised on the theme. ‘Cent per cent polling’. Student Jayamari’s 150-feet-long painting on ‘Cent per cent polling’ was the highlight of the event.

District Collector K. Elambahavath honoured the winners of the competitions with prizes and certificates.

In the voters’ awareness event organised at V.O.C. Ground in Palayamkottai on Monday night, District Collector R. Sukumar participated in the event and created torch to popularise the voter’s helpline number 1950.
