Revenue officials led by Kakinada Revenue Divisional Officer S. Mallibabu on Sunday seized raw materials worth ₹5 lakh meant for manufacturing firecrackers during a raid on a house at Kaikavolu village in Pedapudi mandal, Kakinada district. In an official release, Mr. Mallibabu said that a 23-year-old man, Gopisetti Manikanta Swami, had stored raw materials in 47 boxes in a rented house for manufacturing firecrackers without a licence. The raw material was seized during the raid. Revenue officials informed the local police to register a case.
