The government has accorded administrative sanction for the beautification and development of the historic Nagoba Temple at Keslapur village in Indervelly mandal of Adilabad district, at an estimated cost of ₹20.10 crore. The initiative aims to enhance tourist amenities and generate livelihood opportunities for the local tribal population. The project is also expected to boost tourism and attract visitors not only from Telangana but also from neighbouring States such as Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. As per the sanctioned components, ₹15.30 crore has been earmarked for infrastructure development at the temple, ₹4 crore for BT road connectivity to the shrine, and ₹80 lakh for the construction of storm water drains within the temple premises, taking the total allocation to ₹20.10 crore. The Nagoba Temple, an important spiritual centre for tribal communities, particularly the Mesram clan of the Gonds, witnesses large gatherings during the annual Nagoba Jatara, one of the biggest tribal festivals in the region. Meanwhile, the government also accorded administrative sanction for the construction of a Young India Integrated Residential School (YIIRS) complex in Boath constituency of Adilabad district, with an estimated cost of ₹200 crore. The project aims to strengthen residential education infrastructure in the northern Telangana region and provide world-class facilities to students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The Boath project will be one of the major investments in Adilabad district, which has a significant tribal population and long-standing demand for improved educational infrastructure.
