Customs officials, along with Q-Branch police, seized tablets, including painkillers, worth ₹10 lakh that were meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka near Mandapam. Based on information that smuggled goods were to be transported to Sri Lanka from Maraikayar Pattinam coastal area near Mandapam in Ramanathapuram district, Customs and Q-Branch police conducted a joint patrol in the area in the early hours of Tuesday.
